What Is a Schedule? PDF Print

The Schedule is at the top of the Light-O-Rama Schedule/Show/Sequence hierarchy:

The Schedule is composed of Shows, created by The Light-O-Rama Show Editor.

Shows are composed of Animation Sequences or Musical Sequences created by the Light-O-Rama Sequence Editor or imported from Dasher files.
Sequences are composed of commands to be sent to your lights.

The Schedule has two parts: a Weekly Schedule and a Calendar Schedule. The Weekly Schedule contains information on shows that should be played on a recurring, weekly basis. The Calendar Schedule contains information on shows that should be played once, on a specific date.

The Calendar Schedule PDF Print

The Calendar Schedule contains information on shows that should be played once, on a specific date. This is the FIRST place that the LOR Control Panel will look to start a show.

Any information that you have in the Calendar schedule will take priority over anything you have in the weekly schedule. For example, if you have a single, 1 hour show scheduled for 8:00pm on Christmas Eve, this is the only show that will run on Christmas Eve. It does not matter if you have shows scheduled for another time of day in the weekly schedule, this is the only show that's going to play.

The Weekly Schedule contains information on shows that should be played on a recurring, weekly basis.

This is the SECOND place that the LOR Control Panel will look for instructions on how to run a show. (Remember: It first checks the Calendar!)

The following graphic shows what you would see if you were to schedule a show for Friday and Saturday night, from 7:00pm - 10:00pm.

Starting the Schedule Editor

You may start the Show Editor from the Start Menu by selecting All Programs -> Light-O-Rama -> Light-O-Rama Schedule Editor. Alternatively, if Light-O-Rama is already running, you can right-click on the Light-O-Rama icon in the tray and select Schedule Editor

Opening, Saving, and Reverting

Light-O-Rama maintains just a single schedule, so when the Schedule Editor starts, it opens and displays the current schedule. Once you start editing, however, the displayed schedule may differ from the saved schedule. If you have been editing the Schedule and are satisfied with the changes you have made, you should Save the schedule by pressing the Save Button on the Toolbar. On the other hand, if you wish to discard your changes, you should Revert to the saved Schedule by pressing the Revert Button on the Toolbar.

In order for the changes you have made to the Schedule to take effect, you must first save the Schedule.
